Két rugalmas laprugó van felfűzve közös tengelyre. Alsó végük rögzített, a felső végük pedig elmozdulhat a függőlegesen beállított tengelyen. Figyeljük meg, hogy forgatás közben a rugalmas körcsíkok úgy deformálódnak, hogy forgási ellipszoid látszik kialakulni vízszintes nagytengellyel.
